The Cherub GT-6 acoustic guitar EQ preamp brings professional-level sound control and built-in effects directly into your instrument without the need for an external pedalboard or bulky amplifier settings. Designed for folk and acoustic guitar players who want clarity, versatility, and convenience, this hole-mount unit combines a piezo ceramic pickup with a 3-band equaliser, phase switch, tuner, and four adjustable effects: reverb, delay, chorus, and wide. The preamp offers a frequency response of 20Hz to 20kHz and runs on a 9V alkaline battery (not included) for over 20 hours of use. Lightweight at 108g and compact at 5.2 x 5.4cm, it is straightforward to install using the included cut-out templates and mounting screws.
Features and Controls
The GT-6 provides intuitive controls for shaping your amplified acoustic tone with precision. All functions are accessible via rotary knobs and switches mounted on the preamp face, making adjustments easy during performance.
3-Band Equaliser
Rotate the Low, Middle, and High knobs to adjust frequency volumes individually. Low is controllable at +/-12dB at 100Hz, Middle at +/-12dB at 800Hz, and High at +/-12dB at 3kHz, allowing you to cut or boost bass, mids, and treble as needed for your guitar and venue.
Built-In Effects: Reverb, Delay, Chorus, Wide
Each effect has its own rotary control. The Reverb knob adds ambience, Delay creates echo, Chorus thickens the sound, and Wide broadens the stereo field. These effects can be blended to suit musical styles from fingerstyle to strumming.
Tuner and Phase Functions
The built-in tuner lets you tune your guitar silently or through the amp. The phase switch helps eliminate feedback by inverting the signal phase, useful in live sound situations.

Power and Battery Life
Powered by a standard 9V alkaline battery, the unit provides over 20 hours of continuous operation. A green LED indicates power-on; if the BATT. light comes on, it is time to replace the battery.
